Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the M4 on Sunday night.
At around 11pm a Toyota Corolla was travelling along the M4, Westbound towards the toll booths on the New Severn Crossing.
Just before the car approached the booth it turned around and made it's way back Eastbound. It continued along the road to Junction 22 where it continued to travel the wrong way down the carriageway.
A collision then occurred between the Corolla and a Citroen C2, as a result of this collision a further collision occurred involving the two vehicles and a Jaguar.
The 83 year old driver of the Corolla died from his injuries. The other drivers were hurt but not seriously.
Officers investigating this collision would now like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it. Those with information are asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
