Work to complete new traffic lanes at the M4-M5 Almondsbury Interchange is due to take place this month as part of the new £88.6 million Managed Motorway scheme.
To allow the work to take place, a number of overnight closures will be put in place on the sections of road connecting the M4 and M5 motorways.
On Friday 2 March the M4 eastbound link to M5 southbound and M4 eastbound link to M5 northbound will be closed.
On the 3-4 March, 10-11 March and 17-18 March the M4 eastbound link to M5 northbound, M4 eastbound link to M5 southbound, M4 westbound link to M5 northbound and M4 westbound link to M5 southbound will be closed overnight.
The closures will start at 10pm and finish at 6am the following day. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in operation (see below).
Between 5-23 March there will be a series of Lane 1 and hard shoulder closures in both directions on the M5 between junctions 15 and 17 to allow for the installation of temporary CCTV cameras and laying of communication cables. While the hard shoulder closures will be in place 24 hours-a-day, the Lane 1 closures will be at night-time only and will take place until the 10 March.
Diversion Routes:
