Peach cobbler is the most delicious pudding: a glut of piping hot peaches covered in a layer of rich, buttery batter and ideally served with home-made vanilla custard. Yum.

It is also a sweet, dreamy new hair trend straight from the hair salons of Los Angeles - and we want a serving.

According to Her.ie, American hair stylist Chad Kenyon uses the term "warm peach cobbler" to describe a soft, subtle, scrumptious ombre effect for red hair. Picture a buttery blonde tone with an orange hue - the perfect spring update for anyone with ginger locks.

Chad was inspired to create this gorgeous new style when his regular client, a red-head called Sydney, came in for a new season refresh. "She asked me to richen up her hair colour once again with warm golds and coppers, but this time I first painted vanilla bean ice-creamy blonde dimension throughout her hair by balayaging and strobing," he told Allure. "I then painted a soft shadow-root, lowlights, and a global-gloss all over with varying nutmeg-infused peach tones."

The result, as you can see here, is nothing short of glorious. A lush, feminine look for anyone with light hair looking to change up their look a little.

If you're dying to recreate this look yourself, like we are, simply ask your hair stylist to blend some coppery lowlights into your ginger hair with subtle blonde balayage towards the ends. Chad says you should request a generous serving of Olaplex1 to make it shiny, and treat at home with other Olaplex products to really maintain the gloss.

One peach cobbler for us, please and thank you.
