In the enchanting world of Hollywood, where chameleonic transformations are par for the course, Zac Efron recently dropped a visual bombshell on fans.

The heartthrob, known for his boyish charm, looked nearly unrecognizable on the set of Entertainment Weekly’s cover shoot for his upcoming film, “The Iron Claw.” It’s safe to say that jaws dropped when they saw his jaw.

In this A24 biopic, the 36-year-old actor takes on the legendary Kevin Von Erich, a.k.a. Kevin Adkisson, a professional wrestler who grappled his way to stardom in the groovy 1960s. To become a part of the Von Erich wrestling dynasty, Zac Efron embarked on a Herculean journey to mold himself into the character.

Rise of the Chiseled Jaw

Efron’s transformation was no walk in the park, and he went to great lengths to get into the ring-worthy shape. “I started intermittent fasting just after I stopped being vegan,” Efron revealed. “My body wasn’t processing the vegetables in the right way.”

This dietary shift, from veggies to intermittent fasting, resulted in the emergence of his chiseled, rippling pectorals and a look that left fans awestruck. But it wasn’t just his newly sculpted physique that got the internet buzzing; it was his face.

Shrek Meets Hollywood:

When a clip from the Entertainment Weekly cover shoot made its way to Instagram and the mysterious platform formerly known as Twitter (now X), fans were thrown for a loop.

The actor’s appearance had them scratching their heads, with one user asking the million-dollar question: “What happened to his face?”

Comparisons poured in, with one user playfully suggesting that Efron resembled Prince Farquhar from “Shrek.”

While there are worse comparisons to be made, this one certainly raised a few eyebrows. And then came the observation that his face seemed almost frozen, with one commenter noting, “Damn his face doesn’t even move now.”

One user amusingly remarked, “‘Shrek’ live action? Omg.” Of course, not everyone was gentle with their remarks. “What happened to his face??” was another query, to which someone offered a somewhat plausible explanation.

The Jaw Saga: When Things Got a Little ‘Jaw-dropping’

Before the internet could work itself into a comment frenzy, a sly observer chimed in with a preemptive explanation.

“Before everyone starts dissecting the jaw,” they sagely advised, “Zac let us in on a little secret: his jaw took a nasty hit back in the day. The fixer-uppers did some magic, which is apparently why he’s sporting this jaw-dropping look now.”

But of course, the skeptics were having none of it. One truth-seeking detective retorted, “Wait, you’re saying it’s not Hollywood-style plastic surgery? His accident was in 2013. Let’s get our facts straight or just enjoy the show!”
